Spent so much time preparing for today's ゼミ, only to have it cancelled as the associate prof. is not around. Had a session of chitchat instead. Glad to have the afternoon suddenly free! Though I just sat around and surfed the internet. A little tired I guess.

Work will recommence tomorrow.

On Sunday went for dinner with a friend and stopped by a beach after that for a few minutes. The area always has a strong wind and steady waves. Always liked the sound of the sea. The white surf on top of the black waves crashing down on the beach was a striking view.

Starting to get used to using the car just to get around.

昨日は呉服町あたりの「てんや燈」という韓国料理の店で飲み会を。個室（というか、地下階の貸切になる）はいい雰囲気でした。二次会は近くの「Kenji屋」というところで、それも結構いいところだった。

And yes, it's somewhat far, going all the way to Hakata/Tenjin from Onojo-shi.

Yesterday visited my previous lab in the afternoon, then went with friends to see fireworks at瀬高、ちょっと遠いけど、きれいな花火だった。After that went to Ichiran at Tenjin for ramen.

Think the car ran close to 200km yesterday.

土曜日、学部の時の専攻のサッカー大会に参加した。いっぱい走ったけど、相変わらずボールにあまり触れんかった。ハハハ。それでも楽しかった。それで、アビスパ福岡対サガン鳥栖の試合を見に行きました。福岡３－２で勝ったけど、the last goal was scored at the last second. Unbelievable! The shot flys in from the side at a narrow angle, riccochets off the post, back of the net, and the final whistle blows! Can't really say Avispa deserved to win though.

今日日曜。Mさんから電話。明日の昼の約束延期になる。お陰様でテスト勉強の時間明日にしよう。今日は他の宿題をなんとか形にして出した。完成やないけど、結構努力してやってみた。

Today I had no lessons, so went off to get some things done. Sent my car in for the car inspection, went to the regional immigration bureau (at the airport) to get my re-entry permit, and renewed my driving license at the Fukuoka driving test centre. There was a 2 hour lecture I had to attend, since it's my first renewal.安全運転 etc. Well, time to study for tomorrow's test.

Went to だるまtoday, 結構久しぶりだよね。外は梅雨の大雨、中は暖かいお茶と熱々天ぷら。雨の落ち音に包まれてる故郷の懐かしい話。しいたけの天ぷらから出てくる蒸し気。Driving back in the remaining drizzle of the heavy rains.

今日は大野城→香椎→宗像→箱崎→吉塚→香椎→大野城。Good thing my friend drove part of the way. Tired, but in a good way.
