バスケット
世界バスケット (FIBA World Championship) が今、現在、日本に行われているのに、試合の放送は悲しい状態ですね。日本の試合さえ、生中継じゃなく、深夜に再放送や！
そんなことをほっといて、昨日は New Zealand 対日本の試合を見た。1st quarter では、日本がすごく大きなリードを作った。26-13。そして、前半が終わったごろでは、38-20で NZ のほぼ二倍の点数。スピード、技、シュートの正確さ、なんでも NZ よりいいだった気がした。
でも NZ は根性があり、あきらめない。そして 3rd quarter が終わったところ、日本のリードを48-36まで削れました。そして、いよいよ 4th quarter だ。ゆっくり、ゆっくりリードを削っていた。もう、どきどきでたまらない。生中継だったらもっと。5分残っているところで52-48。そして53-50になった。そして一分半が残っているところ57-57。NZがようやく日本に追いついた。そして30秒ぐらい残っているところ、NZ 三点入れた。その後、両サイドも必死だが、そのまま終わった。NZ 後半よく戦った。前半を見た限り、負けるでしょうと思ったけどね。Cameron 選手すごい。チームが必要なとき、三点シュートを入れたばかり。
最初はどっちが勝ってもいいと思ったけど、後半になったら、もう NZ を応援したくなった。あのあきらめない態度は。

At the beach again
So the typhoon has passed Fukuoka without incident and it's back to summer weather again. Naturally, we head for the beach. On this weekday afternoon (one of the perks of being in school), we had as our destination Futamigaura or 二見ヶ浦, named for two large rocks in the sea (which have been enshrined). On arrival, we spotted the car of someone we knew, but unfortunately we couldn't find him on the beach. Thankfully, to prove it we have the following photograph.
And here's a photo of the two rocks.
After swimming and having fun for about an hour we stayed a while longer to watch the sunset, although the very end was marred slightly by cloudy skies. Still got a nice picture though.

So I finally got round to uploading all my photos from the trip. As per normal, I reduced the resolution so that it wouldn't take up too much time. Also, added descriptions and tags to them. A bit of a rush job, so the descriptions are rather curt, I'm afraid. Anyway, you can see them on my flickr set. Over 300 photos on this trip alone. I will try to do a proper writeup soon... hahaha.
